it’s amazing how Mad skillz had first dibbs on all of those jay dee beats. stakes is high, runnin’, etc. but he passed on them because he wanted tracks straight from q tip. granted he had 2 dilla beats on his first album, but damn. what’s even crazier is that big boi the radio host from the west coast used to be the pharcyde’s bodyguard for a while. btw pete, you weren’t the only one who knew about the Fly as pie remix for passin’ me by or otha fish la jay remix from back in the day. you’re not the only hip hop head. peace
