hey i never ask for the podcast i’m not one of those harassing fans. as for charging go ahead. i think you’d be better off looking for a sponsor. guys like adam carolla and kevin smith do podcasts using their own money and give out their podcasts for free. you work at a radio station in which you don’t lose money.
i’m just giving advice on what i think would be a better move for you and ciph.

But every single one of those artists from back in the day did at least SOMETHING for free in addition to the stuff they got paid for.
I mean, you (rightfully) charge money for your Noisemakers events right? Do you really think they would be as popular as they are if you hadn’t posted all the Juan Eps, all the youtube videos, etc, displaying your unique interviewing style? It’s not just a public interview with DJ Premier, it’s a Peter Rosenberg interview with DJ Premier. People go because they’re fully aware that your interviews are more in depth than the average hip-hop interview (and therefore something they don’t want to miss), and they know this because they can go to your website and download a million Juan Eps with hip-hop legends and hear for themselves what type of interviewer you are.
No shots, and I feel weird even posting something like this when you just put up a Juan Ep today, I’m just not sure why you’ve been snubbing your internet fans so much over the past year and then replying rudely when they/we ask for Juan Eps. You say “listen to the radio show and shut the fuck up”, but you haven’t been posting them on here as regularly as you used to and as far as I can tell Hot 97′s website still doesn’t have any sort of live stream.
Also, didn’t you get hired off of free youtube videos? (Your words, not mine, sorry if I misunderstood/misquoted)

Thats the point i’ve been saying. i’m not mad peter and ciph want to capitalize. it’s just that i honestly don’t think it would be in your best interest. your podcast is like your advertisement of your brand. it’s like a hip hop mixtape. i mean you could charge. it really would put a few dollars in your pocket, but probably lose you about 50% if not more of your fan base.
Juan Epstein to you and ciph is just a podcast that people love. but what you don’t realize is how much juan epstein has solidified your guys place in hip hop in this era. as far as i know this podcast is one of a kind and the real heads know it. and it got you guys popular because it was free and accessible to the masses. I mean where on youtube or in a magazine could i learn about nas meeting rakim. or halftime being a beat for busta rhymes.
It would be the equivalent of charging books at the library and denying free hip hop knowledge.
I know it sounds kinda weird that I say this, but you’d be doing the ones that learn from you an injustice.
