People forget that no matter how super-mainstream Puff comes off, he’s always had dealings w/ some underground artists as well… dating back to the early Bad Boy days when it was still under Uptown and his main producers were Mo Bee, Lord Finesse, and Jesse West. Also, he’s gotten shoutouts on records by artists that the purists love- Brand Nubian (”Dedication”) and EPMD (”Give The People RMX”) being two of ‘em.
