  5. The Album is called “The Box” .. coming soon..most of these are just rhymes over original versions of classic samples..a couple are full songs like the joint with Blu etc…

  6. track 7 at around 00:50 you cut a little early and off-beat

Aside from that, the album is great so far. I consider myself a beat snob, and I am not disappointed.

Damn, track 8 is dope until they just start, uh, paying homage to memory lane. Would’ve been dope as hell if they just looped the part before that.

Ok. Too much of this album is recycled samples. Not that I’m particularly against it, but it’s a lot harder to use something that’s already been flipped, since you’re then expected to do some crazy shit to justify it. Here’s an example:

Rather Unique (original, by Pete Rock): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WchfeYy1MU

Rather Unique 2 (remake, by Damu the Fudgemunk): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dd8BmPpzzcc

If you’re gonna resample shit, you have to mix it up crazy so they don’t have the same feel.

  7. Yoooooooooo,

Once AGAIN Peter you decided to Dick Ride a couple of young Alter Bos that are better off playin the church organ and piano than tryin to go in over a hip hop beat. Dog, Crackers such as these two surburbianites can be found outside any high school tryin to spit somethin like they really are the next best thing Pete man quit co-signing this garbage not only are you losing credit as a hip hop historian that we all look foward to hearing over the airwaves but you are starting to just lose it period I mean I could understand you wanting to BLOW Asher Backwards and your boy Homeboy Sandman lmao. That dude is a joke amongst jokes but you keep doin your thing maybe you and theses 2 new boyscouts your blowin can do like a barmitzva jump off or something cuz you just aint got it no more. Go see if you can spin at SOB’s for a living you dont deserve to be a dj for the mecca of hip hop go back to annapolis or go back and blow Gary williams and maybe hell let you dick ride some of the new freshman ball players coming to Maryland this year DAMN you have become a dissapointment to what you supoosively “represent” garbage PETER just Garbage !!!!

the theme of the mixtape is original samples..its a straight mixtape…theyre not passing off the originals as beats…theyre just rhyming on the joints

why do you hate so much on peter and these kids. they are obviously doing there thing? the kids can obviously spit , gza got on a joint with them!!!! gza hardly does any collabs. blu did a joint with them, vast aire and aesop both got on their record. I saw them live opening up for wu and they killed it . Ive been on f&s for a minute. stop hating. thankyou peter for cosigning them…to earkle….your obviously jealous. you hate these kids because nobody cares about you except your mother.

  15. Yoooooo,

Its wonderful to know that that these guys get pub in new york because any where else thre just 2 regular doug funny lookin mofo’s minus patty mayonaise by there side. I understand that a couple of you backpackin asher roth I still think Wu-tang is relevant to hip hop today phonys think these 2 jobbers are worth a bag of nickles but c’mon yo honestly give me a break I mean Gza did a track with them well that just shows that our man Gza really aint what he was 13 years ago. Why dont you so called “hip hop heads” pick up a RED CAFE MIXTAPE or Jump on with MAINO either way the New York scene will never gain its original respet back with these mooks being co-signed by a hot97 dj. This is not a good look

  17. for real, you co-sign these cats? gotta agree with earkle that you’re fuckin da game up kid!

do you even know that when you say “they u are obviously doing there thing?”, that you’re supposed to write their? stupid bitch.

honestly, i never paid any attention to you before so i gave your interview with drake a shot. you’re dick rider.

don’t bother ever talking about how “i’m a hater” blah, blah. it’s a tired ass comeback when people don’t have any other shit to say, and i won’t be back on the site to even check your response.

if you don’t like people talking shit, then move back to where ever the fuck you came from. welcome to ny, bitch ass.
