Video: I Love College

Here’s my man Asher Roth’s official debut. I’m just mad I couldn’t make it out there for the shoot. Believe me when I tell you–the album is gonna turn some heads.

Can’t hang with this at all. Hip-hop for people whose favorite rock band is Sublime.

I can’t see the deal with this guy unfortunately. Too early to say if this will be a big success or if people will see the blatant attempt to cash in on pop culture and be put off by the Eminem-ness of it all. Good luck to the guy though.

Agree, not even close to his best. Seems to me this is the same route eminem went. No Asher is not as nice as Em. But the comparison is apropos because asher has similar crossover appeal (due in part to his race)
Put out tracks and mixtapes showing that you actually can rhyme, and then put out a lead single with cross appeal. See “My name is”. But, who cares, right? The people who like the tracks were lyrical abilities shine dont buy records anyway…
Em occassionally came back and put out an “Any man”, etc. Hopefully this will be the same
