  5. great event last night…nice to just kick back with a couple drinks and hear some dope hip hop stories from a true legend…the biggie stories were the best…and primo talking about the “outta here” original where krs-one dissed everybody was crazy, i would love to hear that version…

…the band was sick too killing all those old primo classics with the horn section and all that…i’ve seen them before out in bk, my dude borahm plays keys for them he’s nice, he used to tour with matisyahu we’ve done a bunch of shows together…

special thanks for introducing me to primo after the show pete…and ciph had on the ferris buellers!!! appreciate you two always showing me love…

i even met asher roth backstage, hilarious!!! nice guy, and he had the maryland sweatshirt on too which i can’t knock cuz i went to school there, terps for life…he can’t fuck with me on the mic though….hahaha!!!!

  17. I don’t wanna hate, coz the event seems super cool, and I can’t judge the whole thing from a few clips.

But I would like some journalistic questions for Primo at some point.
Like how can you make records with Gangstarr for so long and generally have positive messages for the youth etc. – then at the same time make records with some of the most ignorant rappers in hip hop?

    SeventhSun | Dec 15, 2008 | Reply

  18. Because life isn’t always positive?

Besides, I wouldn’t call Screwball and M.O.P. “some of the most ignorant rappers in hip-hop”. I mean they’re pretty violent and gutter, but not anywhere near as “socially irresponsible” as, say, Poison Clan or the Geto Boys (both of whom I love).

  19. I’m a professional journalist. Rosenberg has a degree in journalism. He asked better questions than some of these frontin’ so-called journalists and he got better answers than any interview I’ve seen Primo do. Stop it.

  20. Hey Rosenberg, Raydar Ellis (who works for Revive Da Live) is going to be teaching a J DILLA COLLEGE COURSE at Berklee College Of Music for Spring ’09.
