  1. It’s funny. The way Rosenberg felt when he saw hip hop “going away” and being “lost” when he saw the young white kids at his high school dance partying to it, is how I used to feel when I saw dudes like Rosenberg.

    Great Juan Ep nonetheless.

  7. straight up…this was a weak juan ep.
Rosenberg, i’mma break it down…This is the juan ep legislation bill 2008.

    Rule1=never plan juan ep

Rule2=avoid guests, unless there is a genuine relationship e.g fat joe, mister cee,etc

Rule3=avoid doing interview style juan eps..(gets boring)

Rule4=For most juan eps,all dats needed is…juan and epstein..duh!—> jus talk about differennt stuff.

Rule5=always try to records juan ep during some ungodly hour—->refer to earlier classic eps

  9. i disagree with all that, the interviews are the shit. the stories are so ill, keep it up.
also, if you have video of the whole noisemakers primo night and you put it out on dvd, no matter how bootlegged it may be, people will buy it. at least, i’d buy it. i couldn’t make it and would love to see what he had to say.

  13. Great interview! Haha before I started listening I was hoping you’d bring up Erick & Too $hort’s “Buy You Some”, so I was psyched when it got mentioned.. It’s a classic joint. There are actually 3 versions of it that I know of: the one on the Dangerous Crew album (’95) that’s under 3 minutes and has one verse each by Erick & $hort, the video version with an extra verse by both cats, and then the one on Too $hort’s Gettin It’ album that’s like the video version plus verses by MC Breed and Kool-Ace. Serious banger.

And honestly, people who complain about these Juan Ep interviews with classic hip-hop artists are serious weirdos. Who doesn’t love a good “back in the day” music story?

examples like the fat joe, q-tip &daytona episodes…even though they ask questions, they mainley just kicking it…

  16. cant see how anyone think it was a bad juan ep it was as classic as the other ones, specially the tape around the room story.

    props from sweden

  17. the shit talkin eps are always great, but if you’re a real hiphop head you wouldn’t be complaining a peep about the gems that are dropped on these special shows.

I PERSONALLY LIKE THIS EPISODE BETTER THAN THE FAT HOE/JOE AND Q-TIP EPISODES. I HAVEN’T HEARD THE DAYTONA ONE.

  26. the daytona one is a classic. fat joe one is the sh1t, even tho I don’t even like fat joe, it was a great episode, they were just chilling. the q-tip one was alright, q-tip is depressing tho.

  27. i’m a juan ep fan, but sirus soul p, i disagree with 90% of your opinion. no disrespect, but not everyone looks at juan ep the same way you do. i like the cipha vs rosenberg conflicts, but i like the interviews more.

as far as this episode, i learned a lot of things about epmd that i didn’t know. so the interviews are actually needed, even if the artists are wack. .. ahem, soulja boy, fat joe…
