Just Say No!

Listen close. I am still thrilled that Barack Obama was elected. It means so much to this country socially and culturally. It’s unbelievable. However, Hillary Clinton being selected as Secretary of State would be a disappointment of pretty epic proportions. It wouldn’t only be upsetting because she ran a disgraceful and racist campaign that included pulling Bill Ayers out of the woodwork (NO ONE had heard of this dude previously) and alluding to President Elect Obama’s assasination. It would also be upsetting because Hillary sucks when it comes to the war and many other foreign affairs. On top of all that–we would have the shady ass Clintons back in power. What would the benefit be?
Whatever. Every time I doubt 44, he proves me wrong. So let’s hope that happens again here.

Hey Rosenberg,
I think it might be a smart move on Barack’s part…It might be a tactic to neutralize her, cuz if she’s busy under his administration as Secretary of State and helping to get his policies pushed thru, she’d be too busy to plan another presidential run in 2012 or 2016.

not sure about that insane solomons temple talk but hillary definitely doesnt favor palestine…ps this post is not an excuse for the usual insane anti semitism that comes with this topic…
the fact is piece in israel can only come with leaders who understand the plight of both peoples and cares about peace and finding a real solution..
hillary is not that person

44 refers to the 44th president of the united states.
Rosenberg - “epic proportions” seems drastic. First, Obama as the president sets the agenda that the Sec of State would carry out. So, her views on the war etc are not as important. If Obama is worth his salt as an exec, she will carry out his directives or get the boot. Second, plenty of people were fully aware of the weather underground before this election. Finally, she has the type of relationships with international leaders that cannot be built overnight. the value of those relationships cannot be overstated.
Ultimately, I think you are overstating how big a problem this is and ignoring the potentially benefits.

Yeah, she seems like another head-ache to worry about it. She seems skeevy in a glamarous way. Very shiesty….

hilary is cool, but i can understand why some don’t like her due to her cocky ways. i believe that obama AND bill will put her in check.
on another note, it’s ridiculous that i’m seeing certain white people where i live becoming more racist since obama won. and these are the same who call themselves christians, making my Lord look bad. fox news’ tom sullivan predicted that black people were going to riot if obama won, yet a group of white people beat up a black muslim in staten island screaming ‘obama’ the day after the victory. change is needed very badly.
thank you rosenberg for providing a website that speaks on hip-hop AND politics. don’t let anyone, black or white, stop you from expressing yourself.

44 needs to keep that trick on the sidelines. don’t pull her out for his starting squad at all. fuck that.

i co-sign all that.
Hillary is getting the nod because Obama knows that in order to strengthen the democratic party right now, he has to pay tribute to the past while he also looks toward the future. Rosenberg, most of his transition team is made up of former Clinton white house people anyway (rahm emanuel, valerie jarret, etc).
you’ve been cheering Obama on for president for the last year, now you don’t trust him to put a good team together? Shut up and let the man work!

my 2cents…hillary clinton introducing bill ayers in the early stages of the campaign was a blessing in disguise. Because you best believe the republican party would have brought bill ayers up in the last inning of the election to rally their base and scare of the independent voters.

I gotta agree with pmd here, no HillaRove for Sec of State.
BTW the douche Joe Lieberman was even more traitorous than Hillary. I guess Obama is an authentic Christian, unlike the ReThug Fundy Xians, Obama is turning the other cheek & forgiving these politrickians like a mofo.
I would rather see Obama say “Hillary, I’m gonna roll with your Hillary health care reform proposal. You can lead that as a Senator, or by becoming Sec of Health Human Svcs in my Cabinet”. I think this would be a good Obama gesture for Hillary & her PUMA supporters. Also Hillary actualy has health care experience, she is more qualified for Health Care than diplomacy.
Why not put a 20 yr diplomacy veteran with a PhD as Sec of State? A real subject matter expert, not a politrickian, like Dr Susan Rice. Or if you must have a politrickian, get Bill Richardson, who has experience negotiating with N Korea, y tambien Richardson habla espanol, que seria muy util para un diplomata, nahmean?
