^ he’d spin his hands around and say those aren’t the issues at hand and point the conversation in another direction. much like he did with Letterman and everyone else. he goes on a show, gets asked regular questions that he himself ignites with his campaign yet never wants to speak about anything, he’ll let the ads tell it

imagine the other VP pick in that position

  9. WTF? Sweden? “A socialist country like Sweden?” What kind of 7-year-old wrote these questions? Besides the fact that they’re just trying to put Obama/Biden into some sort of communist category and Biden does his thing to not fall from his chair laughing, all of their Qs have absolutely nothing to do with reality. Sweden a socialist country? Come on now…

  11. the very idea of “spreading the wealth around” is definitely a socialist ideal. universal health care is also. who are you kidding? i family that live in canada where they have a similar health care system and they hate it.

plus biden is a fuckin douchebag.

  12. BidenBites,

You’re straight up full of shit! I live in Toronto Canada and I don’t know anyone who would trade the Canadian Health Care System for America’s barbaric prehistoric system. I don’t know… free vs going into debt cuz you’re sick!? Free wins every time!

  16. WTF!? Completely ridiculous!!! Is that really broadcasted on your national television?! “A socialist country, like Sweden”!! Pure stupidity!! I find it kind of sad to see that people this ignorant (and dumb) get the chance to speak (and even worse get a job) on tv, and interview a high up politican! Crazy!

  17. lol. Income redistribution = marxist.

You are trying to bring more money to the lower class yet all you are doing is supporting their stay at the bottom. It takes away any incentive at an upward social movement.

Increased taxes on corporations is actually an increased tax on consumers since corporations will just pass it on in the price of their product. It also won’t do anything to stop the flight of corporations heading overseas as they are at a disadvantage in the global economy (less jobs and tax revenue).

Cutting corporate taxes would increase the profitability after tax of the companies and lead them to expand (creating more jobs).

Basic fucking economics. Socialist fucktards leading the country = we’re fucked.

    MJ | Oct 27, 2008 | Reply

  18. we already have the second highest corporate tax in the world. You wonder why corporations leave…

    MJ | Oct 27, 2008 | Reply

  19. yeah, because it’s not like those corporations make billions of dollars a year in pure profit, right? oh, those poor “over taxed” corporations, boo hoo!

throwing money at big business does not create new jobs. if this were true, we’d all be working for exxon mobil (last year they made a ridiculous $12 billion profit margin). making corporations keep a certain percentage of their operations in north america would be a far better way of keeping job numbers up. plus, if you re-distribute some wealth from the rich down to the people who really need it, then maybe in time those people can have the money for a good education, and they’ll become rich someday, able to consume with the best of us. good for the corporations, right? oh, but they don’t want a black guy in the boardroom or the country club, better not give those poor people any money!

don’t come in here trying to glorify the same bullshit trickle-down economics that got us in this mess in the first place. ask alan greenspan, bitch.

  20. and i’ll say it again: FUCK REPUBLICANS AND THEIR BULLSHIT ECONOMICS. a bit of socialism would do you all good right about now.

    a tribe called quest | Oct 27, 2008 | Reply

  24. first of all, im not a republican. i have no party affiliation. and like MJ said, if you have taken any basic economic course, like maybe in college anyone? then you would know that raising taxes in a desperate economic time is not a good idea. i dont work hard everyday to earn an income so your lazy ass can sit around and complain and get something for free every once in a while.

those who like obama are looking for the easy way out, he panders to the poor. and im not saying mccain is the answer either, trust me, i dont love either of them.

this country was founded on the ideals of hard working people that paid their own way. the government cannot support the fates of over 300 million people at once, its just not a feasable option. if you spoil your children they will grow up to think they deserve everything. well, the citizens of this country are like americas children, if you hand them everything they wont ever learn to do it themselves.

REMEMBER - no great world superpower has lasted forever. and im talking all the way back through ancient history. the empire of america will not be here for eternity. if we continue down the road of laziness you will we weaken the backbone of the country - the people.

    BidenBites | Oct 28, 2008 | Reply

  25. Hannes (Sweden) - what percentage of your income do you contribute toward taxes?

    BidenBites | Oct 28, 2008 | Reply

  26. “if you have taken any basic economic course, like maybe in college anyone? then you would know that raising taxes in a desperate economic time is not a good idea.”

neither is using $700 billion in taxpayer dollars to bail out private companies, yet here we are. raising taxes ON THE RICH (which is what Obama is proposing) is exactly what we need during difficult times.

These assholes have been milking the working classes for too long, it’s time they started to pull their collective weight. You’re merely being a mouthpiece for trickle-down economic theory, whicch has been proven to only widen the gap between the rich bourgeoise and the proletariat.

    MILES D CAT | Oct 28, 2008 | Reply

  27. more democrats voted for the 700 billion bailout than republicans you asshole

    BidenBites | Oct 28, 2008 | Reply

  28. BidenBites: Somewhere around 30%.
And that I have absolutely no problem with. I mean, with my taxes I pay for alot of things that I benefit from. And this shit like “I don’t wan’t to give my money to someone else, someone who has less money or/and is unemployed”, I mean come on! Some fucking humanity!!!

What else should we do with our money if not help everyone and strive towards a better tomorrow, for EVERYONE!!? (and fuck all of you who even thinking of calling me a communist or socialist, you don’t have a clue of what your talking about)

The amount i contribute towards taxes i just doesn’t count with, the money I earn is the amount i get after I’ve paid taxes.

If you can afford it, why not pay a litle more and help out others!? what’s so horrible about that?

“no, I’m looking out for me, only me. i don’t want to contribute to the city i live in and help other people” - DISCUSTING!

(sorry, my english is probably crap)

    Hannes (Sweden) | Oct 28, 2008 | Reply

  29. according to what ive read the average worker in sweden pays almost 60% to taxes and only keeps around 40. that means you keep less than half of what you earned. if thats cool with you, then carry on. Miles D Cat - maybe you should check out some real estate in stockholm…

  30. How come when someone burns a flag or is outspoken against “american values” they are accused of being treasonous. But if a company takes jobs overseas to increase profit margins and leave americans out of work, it considered basic economics and smart business practices?

This game is rigged (c) Bodie

    bogod | Oct 28, 2008 | Reply

  31. BidenBites: Well then the stuff you’ve read is simply not true.
60%?! Come on!! We pay around 30% of our monthly income, nothing else. Why would I lie about something like that? you have read some real bullshit, mind telling me where you have read this? could you post a link or something?

And to bring the discussion back to the posted video, it’s still pure ignorance. The woman is really stupid for real. can’t really believe that she (or the people that have hired here) really exist. Like some people would say; IS SHE FO’REAL??!

    Hannes (Sweden) | Oct 29, 2008 | Reply

  32. Most people In Sweden pay about 30% income tax. for that we get free healthcare and free education up to university, and Pensions. So you can see we pay in tax what you pay in insurenece. Our Company taxes are a bit lower. Oh and we have a budget in Balance. I think The Problem USA will have in the comming years is how tio deal with the huge defecite. I think ur up to 9 trillion dollars in debt at the moment. The fututre president wont have that many cards to play out. As being a rightwinged politician in Sweden I would not consider our country socialist although we have a social agenda.
