McCain Suspends Campaign; Seeks to Delay Debate
By pmd on Sep 24, 2008 in News & Politics |

What gives? Is McCain that scared of the debate? Is this some bizarre tactic to regain momentum (a la Palin)? This “suspension” makes no sense for practical purposes. Are McCain and Obama really needed on the Hill right now? This is a bizarre move and I am very curious to see how it plays out.
The Obama camp has already responded saying that they plan to move forward for the debate which is exactly what they should be saying. This election is not subject to McCain’s insane moods or bizarre strategies. McCain may truly be losing his mind.
Thoughts?
FUCKING douchebag

Sounds like the Redskins should take the same strategy for Sunday’s game.

McCain really tried to “jail” Obama into moving the debate back, but Obama responded by saying “fuck outta here with that”.
The debate will mark the demise of McCain….

mccain is scared. he seems unprepared for the debate and the campaign suspension may financially help him. the suspension allows him to not spend money for a few days to keep the campaign alive towards the end of the election. Essentially, both obama and mccain are irrelevant to this vote since they are not on the committee for the bill. someone on npr suggested they do a VP debate instead. republicans want to avoid that at all costs. in any sense, mccain just lost the election with this move.

The only reason it should be delayed is if they are voting for the Bailout on Friday. If not then, game on!

I promised that i wasnt going to listen to any slander from either side or give any attention to the palin choice untill the debate came. I knew McCain was gonna have his 90yr old skirt lifted when they are up there debating issues.
And Now this… McCain just told the world that he is embarrassingly unprepared and even if he was he can only lose when it comes to political views

This is, so annoying. I just finished listening to Bush address America. First of all I do not understand how Bush managed to finish all 8 years. This man has made such a mess and I feel sorry for the next president in line. Second, what is suspending your campaign going to do to something that’s already fucked up. There is no law that McCain can implement that would change our current situation. It is like Barack said a president should be able to multi-task. I am just sick to my stomach and this possible bail out is the cause. I could keep going, but I know how these commenters get,so I’ll stop.

Hi my name is john pussy bush”s dick sucking mccain. Palin is my pimp I really dont know what she stands for but I know she will steal hillary votes. The fundamentals are strong prey on poor racist stupid americans who would like to lose more and more assets every day. I really think we should bail out the same companies whoe charge us fees and annual percentage rates. if it wasent for them we all might have posession to our assets.by the way if you want to file bankruptcy i”ll vote against it but please let the banks off the hook.

Here’s the problem with this move by McCain. He gets to tout himself as “country first” like at the Republican National Convention where he chose to calm the convention for the first day will the hurricanes were hitting the gulf. This most certainly is a calculated risk on his part. Seems like he’s trying to garner sympathy as a reformer/bipartisan operative by saying he’ll reach across the aisle. Unfortunately, he just seems like he’s running scared. This is the time we need a debate on the issues. Dude just seems like a petulant child who’s not getting his way.
