A Weekend Treat for True Hip Hop Heads!
By pmd on Aug 2, 2008 in Hip Hop |

Shout out to Disco Vietnam for the link. This here. This ish right HERE—is the Original “Ready to Die” bootleg. This is much different than the eventual commercial release. I don’t want to tell you what’s on it (more Pete Rock and Primo among other great sh*t).
If you are going to listen to this album–follow my instructions. Burn this to CD. Roll something up. And listen to this front to back. For me, it was an unbelievable experience. Getting to hear a different version of “Ready to Die”?! Seriously. This made my weekend. Enjoy.

I caught wind of this from Bol (from XXL blogs). Pepsi commercial is my JAAAAAAAM. And you got Enuff on there listing all of the sodas in the beginning of the track. That ish is classic.

i like biggie but the production on this is like the typical/below avg from that era that you could have found on a random lord tariq album….
the released version shits on the og….biggies rhymes werent that great if you ask me..he was really remedial…but he had the vocal presence and style to make up for it,,

if u read carefully, it said for true hip hop heads only!
but i guess u’re too remedial to understand that u rat bastard.
then to top it off, u still took time to download it.
i know everybody is entitled to their own opinion, but that is just plain
ignorant. by the way, i like turtles.

whoever says ready to die or biggie is overrated should not be allowed to type… period.
and big pun is great too, but that doesn’t mean that biggie isn’t…
it ain’t about who’s better, it’s about who’s dope or not… biggie is dope, big pun is dope… period.
ansomthebeboy | Aug 3, 2008 | Reply
ready to die is dope and biggie is elite but def not top 5….”biggie biggie can you see sometimes your mind hypnotize me”
“mo money mo problems” etc…if big was still making music he would have t pain on a hook..he was a trend follower….if pac was alive he would be tellin all the corporations and the man to suck his dick and start making music for the hood…
pac = goat of rap
biggie = great emcee
frozenberg | Aug 3, 2008 | Reply
i heard the pr juicy before…but just not within its original state…as an album cut..i wish he put more pete-libs in tho… still.
it sounds so gritty.

@frozenberg
Biggie’s not Top 5…agreed…& I’m from BK
Correction though…If BIG were alive he would have been the FIRST one with T-Pain on the hook, BIG was that nigga, he was a trendSETTER not a follower!
Tupac’s anger was fueled by BIG’s success, think about that.
