Ralph Nader finally just proved a lot of good people right. For a long time, I tried to convince naive liberal friends that Ralph Nader was a fraud. That he simply ran for President because he is an attenton seeker who had no interest in the world actually becoming a better place.
Well Nader ensured that his attenton-seeking will not affect the most important election since the 1960s. I do not believe that his accusing Senator Obama of “talking white” exposes Nader as a racist as much as it exposes him as a man who is just as callous, desperate, and amoral as the right-wingers who he claims to fight against. To use Rosenberg & Rosenberg stan non-logic, if you disagree with Nader or don’t like Nader’s work, I must ask
“why are you hating on Nader”
OK jokes aside, I don’t mind Nader running, hopefully it will pressure Obama to not become ReThuglican Lite Bitchmade like many Democrats have done this decade. Nader will not have a meaningful impact on the vote, if any 3rd party candidate does it will be Libertarian Bob Barr who will take votes from McSame.
Obama bitched out to WOAT Bush by voting for telcom immunity on FISA. That is shameful for Obama, considering 1 of Obama used to work as a Constitutional Law Professor. Shameful for an expert on the US Constitution to allow Bush to shyt on said Constitution. Obama is extremely intelligent, so his vote was definitely cowardice, as opposed to stupidity.
I like Obama’s policies in general & want to vote for him. But if he does something so cowardly like this FISA vote again, my vote will change from “enthusiastic vote” to a “lesser of 2 evils” vote (even a cowardly Obama infinitely >>>> McSame)
We shouldn’t do like the right-wingnuts & “hero worship” any politician. Policies & actions (such as their actual voting record) matter foremost to me. “The content of their character”, word to MLK Jr.
Big ups to Russ Feingold, our country’s MVP Senator, who shows real leadership skills in actually fighting Bush’s Constitution-shyting, unlike the do-nothing Obama & H Clinton. “If skills sold truth be told” Obama would pick Feingold for VP.
Rosenberg, if you value identity politics more than policy/voting record, fyi Feingold is Jewish.
Also big ups to Feingold’s weed carrier Chris Dodd. Feingold & Dodd got forced a delay on the FISA vote to Jul-8, & are trying to ammend the bill to remove telco immunity.
