At my job, besides discussing our interns on the regular, we basically browse through their Facebook pictures when they’re not in the office. As someone who interned two years ago for a radio company, I didn’t get a dime and never asked for much. It was a bitch to afford living in NYC (and Craigslist is a bitch), but it was a dope experience. Getting leftover sandwiches when bands didn’t eat them was my pay some days. Props to Gretchen Wilson for those McDonalds’ fries.
