  29. Al Sharpton is no MLK

Lil Wayne is no good rapper.

The decent-but-not-great likes of Kanye West & Big Pooh sonned Wayne on their songs.

I listened to Tha Carter 3.

    1.0/5 stars, unwiped ass.

wack beats, mediocre off-beat flow rapping from annoying-voice Lil Wang.

PMD calling this garbage classic? Makes me wonder if PMD really likes rap music.

I listen to all type of rap, so let me preempt any “hater” or “region racist” claims

You want southern gangsta shyt listen to Scarface 2002 Fix, or UGK

You want some innovative Southern shyt, check CunningLynguists

You want a ill rapper, who is simultaneously hilarious & insightful, check Phonte.

You want a young under 25 skills-having rapper, check CA’s Blu or MA’s Termanology or NY’s Akir.

  30. ^^ i’ll be Captain Obvious and say that theirs no such thing as an unbiased opinion. There is always someone who thinks something you like is truly bad when you think its truly good. So i take it you never liked wayne and are aiming for the obscure to many to make a point, which is not really a good argument.
I mean i live in NY and have never heard of Akir, put me on lol. Termanology is Ill i’ll admit but hes still on the come up as far as where he could be but he shows a lot of promise, Phonte is dope, Scarface and UGK are legends of the south. Cunninglynguists I’ll be honest and say i’ve never really listened or made the effort to, but id be open to catch up (NH)

But again i feel you have that punk-rock ideal of not being well known, not selling well equating to great, and being successful selling a million copies (1 week) in today’s day and age as being a sellout, which i’ve always thought was silly. In the words of Wayne “too paid to freestyle.”

  31. ^sup Shoutsto

You got me wrong, I listen to a wide variety of rap, including high-selling albums/artists that are actually quality. A few examples from this decade:

all 3 Kanye West albums (a decent rapper but an excellent producer)
    Jay-Z 2001 Blueprint
    The Game 2005 The Documentary
    Dr. Dre 2001

The only type of rap album/artist that I’m “biased against”, are those that are WACK
