So Close Yet So Far

Am I happy being up 3-1 after completing the greatest comeback in playoff history (who pulled off the other one again? Oh–the Celtics–that’s right)??

Yeah I’m pretty happy. Rondo is banged up. But as a result my favorite non-big three player, Eddie House, stepped up and delivered down the stretch. Perkins is banged up, but the Lakers big men are still too soft. Garnett finally hit a bunch of big shots from the post. Pierce guided the team through an incredible third quarter. Doc Rivers coached a great game. Posey knocked down cluth threes. PJ continued to exceed any reasonable expectations. YES I’M HAPPY. I don’t care what happens from here on out–I am happy right now.
The Celtics have played far from perfect basketball. In fact this team is not fully in stride at the moment, but they are doing what championship teams do–getting it done. Can the Lakers win three straight? I don’t think so, but unfortunately Kobe Bryant probably disagrees.

I dont know about basketball apart from playing NBA 2K8 or other games but a friend of mine said that after this the Celtics will decline because they dont have a young enough squad and the management system are looking to leave……does this make sense??
Anyone wanna talk about football(aka soccer)?? England smashed the USA they other week.
Oh yeah, I appreciate the comments on Juan Epstein 22 by the way. Have you seen the Jim Jones/Gun waving cop video yet?? Seeing as how tight you and Jimmy are I thought you might have an opinion.
Capo’s nearly capped by a crazy cap wearing cop.

Pierce aka Nancy Kerrigan stays flopping though. Props to Jesus Shuttlesworth though. I’m glad he’s close to a ring since I side with him in the lesser known Kobe vs Allen beef. Still gotta get that 4th win though PMD. Phil can coach.

@ldn: Honduras soccer 4-life, baby!
I’m disappointed at the New England areas continuation of sports dominance, and I am pulling for the Lakers to come through…’specially after Kobe’s little “Go Yankees” chant.
A clear example of greatness recognizing greatness.

P, you should know by now: NY fans will find any reason to hate on anything that’s Boston.

who the fuck is calling pierce a flopper? he sold ONE foul against kobe in the 4th quarter. that hardly makes him a flopper like say, ginobili or sasha bujacic (aka mister homotional).

@Miles D Cat: He hasn’t abused the flop as much as Manu or Anderson Verajao, but he does it fairly often.
