Brokaw Reports Russert’s Passing

Really tragic. I can’t believe he won’t cover this election.

  1. I’m still struggling with this as well. Who will take over Meet The Press?

  2. As a fellow Bills fan like Russert, this makes me concerned about how many years that team has taken from my life. He’ll be missed.

  3. I’m guessing it will be David Gregory or Andrea Mitchell temporarily. But my personal vote, and also hunch, is that Chuck Todd, NBC News Political Director, should be the new moderator.

  4. what about keith olbermann? they wouldn’t even need to court someone from a rival network…

  6. how about resurrecting edward murrow from the grave? or breed another murrow from cloned DNA from his corpse.

i mean, that’s the only way you’ll keep up the quality journalism of “meet the press”. anything else but a cloned morrow, and you lost.

  7. I like the idea of Olbermann. Not the most unbiased however.

  8. I watched Meet the Press this morning. It was just Brokaw and a few colleagues just talking about his life. Kinda sad. They kept the table and Russert’s chair empty in the background as they talked.

Is Tim Russert on the Carter 3 or was he in Dipset?

    Did I miss something?

  11. Sleep just getting his post jack on. I didnt realize Russert worked for as an NBC executive when they asked him to fill the chair at Meet the Press. His utilization of quotes to interview politicians was groundbreaking.
