Lil Wayne + Hov = FIRE
By pmd on May 31, 2008 in Hip Hop |
** When I woke up on Saturday, I still really liked this record, but I’m not really impressed with the beat and frankly–the words make no sense, but it’s still pretty dope. My “pure fire” statement may have been a little over the top, though.
Right when you thought you were mad at Wayne for dissing mixtape DJs–he tells you FALL THE F*CK BACK! This is PURE FIRE and I don’t say that often.
Lil Wayne Feat. Jay-Z — Mr. Carter

I have always waited for Wayne to make the record that made me flip out the first time I heard it.
Note: Jay is brave for getting on a record with Wayne–especially when Wayne can add verses at the end. What if Jay shows up at Summer Jam on Sunday? Wow..
AVADOOOOOOOO!!

and Wayne drops a Macho Man reference…cyat!

I like the fact that hes rapping for respect. he knows what people think of him. I always said his wordplay is serious but he still says dumb shit..
Btw the album is crack!

Wayne is out of hand!!!! Beetle Juice? Amazing… the kid is the best one out there right now, right now he’s doing to the game what Redman did 10 years ago. You couldn’t wait for Funk Doc to tell stories just like you can’t wait to see what crazy shit Wayne will add.
I love Turtles.

This guy is waaaaay overrated. 90% of his rhymes are shallow and his punchlines are usually corny. I dig this song and some of his verses on others, but people need to stop riding him as if he’s the second coming. I can name several emcees that would eat him on a track.

That whole congregation shit at the end made this record even lamer than I first thought. Hov spits a decent verse, but I’m sorry, I just can’t respect Wayne’s style or rhymes anymore. I’m putting Weezy in that “Post E.L.E. Busta Rhymes” level when he just fell the fuck off.

PETER!! Did you hear the last track on Wayne’s CD, Misunderstood? It’s a 10 minute track and he goes off talking for the last 6 minutes, but he pretty much said what you have been saying about Al Sharpton. Check it out…

song ain’t that bad but Lil Wayne is the worst rapper probably ever and Jay-Z has worn out his welcome…Kingdom Come and American Gangster were as sad as when Joe Gibbs came back to D.C. it was ok but it shows how far he fell off
since when is it cool to kiss a dude in the mouth then blow up?
rap game might be more down low than people think
