Hey sorry for the delay guys. I was home in DC spending time with the people I love and being a killer best man for my best friend, Ben, who got married on Sunday. Ben is a major part of my life and my sense of humor and is one of the funniest people on the planet. My first videos ever made (pause) were made with Ben in middle school and I wish I could find them because they were slightly brilliant. Either way–congrats to Ben and Stef. The wedding was beautiful and it was an honor to be a part of it. I love you both.
Juan Epstein seems to be picking up steam, but it is time to take it to the next level. I have created this email address — JuanEpsteinPodcast@gmail.com — for any media or booking inquiries and ALSO for our listener emails/updates , questions to be answered on the show, etc. So if you are a Juan Ep fan and want to get down with the team–drop us a line and we will add you to our list. It is also time for our listeners to go viral with this. We need to spread the word of Juan Ep to anyone who will listen. The response we have gotten has been tremendous and I want to see it go to a whole new level.
My Penguins are up 3-0 on the Senators which is a wonderful start and it’s crazy to think that when the NBA playoffs get going next week–I will be rooting for a number 2 seed in hockey and a number 1 seed in basketball. It’s actually a bit overwhelming. I cannot wait, though. 40 games in 40 nights of the NBA is the BEST.
Hopefully “Real Late” will be up by tonight or tomorrow and Juan Ep is off this week but will be back next week!
Any ideas of how to take Juan Ep to the next level?? Comment away…
you guys should videotape the juan ep segments and put ‘em on youtube.
a lot of humour has to do with body language, i think it would make the segments even funnier if we could see you, cyph and juanito clowning on each other in the studio.

you guys need to keep juan how it is… the beauty of it is that it’s just you & cyph bullshittin’ for an hour. habing a format or script would just lose how authentic it is.

i agree. keep juan ep how it is. maybe a few youtube videos of you filming it. but i really hope you keep the format the same because that’s what i love about it. the fact that it’s just you and ciph yarning is awesome. everytime you say “we should really get … on the show” i always think “yeah that would be cool, but would it take away from what we’re used to?”.
i hate change though.

Juan Epstein is fresh man, I heard about it for awhile but only got to listenin to it recently and I’m addicted. Sucks theres no show this week though.. Love what you guys are doing keep doin it and I’ll definitely be puttin everybody on to this.

I honestly think you should just continue simple and let the show grow instead of forcing its growth.
Keep in mind people love the show because it feels like a conversation that the listeners are involved with…so dont change the shows style format or anything and dont try to force its growth..it will grow itself…just promote it a little more and get some more listeners…i personally get a headache with reg radio with corny theme music and songs,,,reason i love juan ep is because its simple convo minus the techy nonsense of radio and typical podcasts

Love the show the way it is. There was a lot of pause-able quotes in the comments above. why do men want to SEE other men talk on a show so much?[pause] But having the meetings with Ebro or even making a couple of spoof videos in a meeting with Ebro would be funny as hell. Youtube re-inactments of Juanito’s threesomes in a funny way …GREAT! I don’t think you should film the show but to have clips of the stuff ya’ll talk about would be cool. and get an f’ing youtube channel for it. I don’t like Cipher enough to subscribe to his youtube channel…lol.

Pete, I have no idea where your sports allegiances came from, how could you go back to D.C. and not get swept into the Ovechkin/Caps Mania… and the Wizards/Cavs series is easily the most intriguing first round match up in the East (whether that is saying anything or not is a topic for another day), but I sure hope you are pulling for Gilbert, Caron, and Co.

I think the show is interesting. Who can get a star to take my call first was great fun, or even just listening to celebrity voicemails (like the Boss, Rick Ross) is hilarious. But PMD, you support the Penguins and Celtics? You’re from Maryland. You’re only allowed to support your local squads.

What about a Juan Epstein mixtape — Ep-approved joints mixed in with clips from past shows. That way you could rope in more internet hip-hop heads into listening to some classic moments from past shows. Call it My Shoelace Game Is Fire: The Juan Ep Mixtape or something.

like the current format of the show, but would like to see more of pete trying work out the kind of hip hop he likes, i.e dilla and preemo, but do some other producers such as easy mo bee, beatminerz, diamond d, shock g, 9th wonder. Also perhaps making competitions to make new drops/intros for the podcast!!! no need for prizes, just the fame from hearing the winning work on the podcast should be enough!!!
