  4. 1) REDISCOVER ME - WALE: I just want to give you a big “THANK YOU” on behalf of everyone who rides with WALE (no homo) because that was easily one of the hottest mixtapes of 07. (which is now almost a year old) Dope beats, dope rhymes… what more do yall want?!? (c) LB

2)Thank you for saving some air time for my friend and classmate Eve Carson. Who would have thought that her death would affect a DJ at Hot97? I know she would be very glad to know that she impacted that many.

Lookin for the new Duke video…

  11. Pete, u don’t know (or maybe u do) how important that was for the listeners to hear Guru and Solar chop it up about jazz and what not. I am almost positive that has never ever happened in the Hot 97 studios. EVER. Do I think a bunch of kids are gonna run out and pick up the Jazzmatazz catalog immediately? No. But in the midst of all this fabricated 50 Cent / Papoose / Fat Joe marketing beef (which seems to be the most important thing happening in hip-hop right now…God help us), it’s good to hear something REAL.
