This is Sunday’s banger of a show–dedicated to my brand new niece and nephew. Lots of good tunes and oh-so-fun Super Bowl talk.

By the way, anyone who knows football actually did not have the Giants as 12 point underdogs. The point spread was ridiculously high. It was set high to encourage bets for the Giants to beat the spread, not necessarily win. During that last game of the season, the Giants played them within 3 points. Vegas started the line at 14 to get suckers to bet, then dropped it to 12.

thanks for the love dmax…but
“By the way, anyone who knows football actually did not have the Giants as 12 point underdogs.”
Umm I don’t see it that way at all. PLENTY of people who know football did not think there was any chance that the Giants would repeat that performance and that the Pats wouldn’t have been prepared. I still cannot believe how disappointing the Pats were…

listening to the classic album from 2000 “Reflection Eternal Train Of Thought”, I realized that Cipha Sounds was immortalized with Talib Kweli’s lyrics on “Down For The Count”
Ns be gassed like Cipha Sounds
& need rescue remedy
then fall the fock off
like limbs infected with leprosy
Back in the day when I first listened to the album, I didn’t know what Cipha Sounds was.
Cipha, you should take heart [||], that in 2030 or 2100 some random new kids will be listening to this classic & hear your name.
