This isn’t just a football team winning games when they need them late in the year. My squad, the Washington Redskins, are fighting through the most emotional situation that any team has EVER had to deal with–in the history of this league. On top of everything, they are being led by a back-up QB who had not started in over TEN years. And last night they went into the Meadowlands and dominated an outmatched and overrated Giants’ team. The defense was incredible and so was Joe Gibbs. As John Madden said about this Gibbs-led Redskins team, “There are are some teams that get out of it and have disappointments and they kind of lay down a little. The Redskins–there’s no way they’re gonna lay down at all”. Damn straight.

That’s the Redskins. There is not a team in the league that I would rather call “my” team.
When it’s all said and done, Gibbs has coached some pretty good games this year. Last night was a great one. Next week we go to Minnesota to fight for a playoff spot on national TV again. No matter what happens, I know they will make me proud.

PS– JUAN EPSTEIN AND LAST NIGHT’S SHOW WILL BE UP BY THE EVENING!

  1. Yeah, that game kicked ass. I’m glad to see this team doing their thang. Ironically, within the past 24 hours I’ve been typing an essay on Sitting Bull the Native Chief who held off the “White man.”
