The NFL Week 11

As annoyed as I am by the Redskins (a team in the middle of the pack at 5-4 who could easily be 8-1—the Giants game, Green Bay, and two days ago), I still am pretty excited about this NFL season. As dominant and annoying as the Patriots are, there still are plenty of stories to follow outside of them. Here are some of them…

The Lions are good! Yes they lost at Arizona this weekend and my Skins blew them out several weeks ago, but they’re undefeated at home and JOHN KITNA is playing very well. Who would have foreseen how awesome the Green Bay-Detroit game on Thanksgiving would be? Oh it’s the 12:30 game in case you were wondering (the Jets are at Dallas at 4 and Indy is at Atlanta at 8 pm on the NFL Network).

The Browns are good! Do you know what it meant for the Browns to play as close as they did at Pittsburgh this past Sunday? Granted, the lost must have hurt (a win would have brought them into a tie for first place with the Steelers). But come on, the Browns are competing and scoring and giving a great Steelers team absolute fits.

The Saints are losing–they’re winning–they lose again. This team is just exciting to watch and their story is so fun. As are the Chargers, who still have a lot to prove, but because of the terrible AFC West and their eeking by Indy on Sunday, this team still has a serious chance to make the playoffs.

Donovan McNabb continues to get hate from everyone and he continues to be a TOP quarterback in the league. With all of the heat this dude takes–who would you rather have starting? I’ll tell you who : Brady, Manning, Romo, and Favre, and MAYBE Big Ben.

The Colts. The Colts will now fly even lower beneath the radar thanks to their freak loss at San Diego, but this team is very dangerous and very good, and now– angry. They are very beat up and when they get healthy–beware.

The NFC East. Yeah I hate every team in the division besides the Skins, but this is a sick division. Everyone is competitive and the Cowboys are outright good. Romo is one of the best in the league and he seems to be getting better. The Skins and Cowboys still play twice and those games will be better than you might think, especially considering how much they mean to Washington. The first of the two is at Texas Stadium this week at 4:15. The Cowboys are 10 point favorites.

The Bills. These scrappy bastards are going to make the Patriots work for win number 10 at Buffalo this Sunday night. I guaran-damn-tee it. They stuck with the Pats for a half at New England and these divisional games always have the potential for drama. The Bills have run off five straight, they play good defense, and they get a serious spark From Parrish and Lynch.

  1. Ill be honest, the Bills kind of scare me on the Redskins schedule. Nothing is a sure win with this team and knowing Gibbs he is going to keep the game close, just what the Bills want, its going to be a terrible game to watch I just hope we can get by. (By the way, Ill start Carson Palmer over D-Mac…)

Also, thanks a lot Gibbs for giving the Eagles life in the division, god damnit. Browns are legit too, they put up points, Ive watched them every week and that offense is absolutely potent.
