The Last Huge Fight??

This is the first time since “Iron” Mike fought Lennox Lewis back in June 2002 that casual sports fans are forking over 50 bucks (54.95 actually) to watch a fight. Will it be the last time? Well it might be for a while. It’s hard to see Jermain Taylor or Wlad Klitschko generating any major interest. Don King still has the game in a chokehold and there are still no fighters outside this fight with an ounce of real charisma. I know the next PPV I’m ordering…..Summerslam. And that doesn’t bode well for the state of boxing.

As for the fight itself. I would love to see Oscar make it interesting. Unfortunately, that cannot happen. I mean–he could have a flurry or two that will get people excited for a second. Over the course of the fight, however, he has no chance. Floyd doesn’t look heavier or slower at all. Oscar doesn’t appear confident at all. A lot of people give Oscar a ton of credit because he never backs down from a big fight. I give him credit too. You have to understand, though—just because he takes the fight–that doesn’t mean he believes he can win. And he does not believe he can win this fight. And in that sense–he’s already lost.

  2. yeah that was “CAZY” sh*t that mayweather was talking, but hey kids and geeks out here, he’s wrapping it up after this fight. What was he supposed to do kiss mosley’s as*? he works with oscar now, oscar is gayer than Kris. i guess he believes that if you can’t beat them join them.
