Seldon, Witherspoon triumph!
By Kurt Wolfheimer at ringside
Several hundred boxing fans at the Klein Jewish Community Center in Northeast Philadelphia, PA were disappointed, as the Lion Heart Productions Card on Saturday night was reduced to two bouts and three exhibitions, sending many looking for refunds. Many stayed though to witness the return of former WBA heavyweight champion Bruce Seldon (36-6, 32 KOs) give the bum’s rush to Marcus Rhode (31-31-2, 26 KOs). Seldon, weighing a lean and mean 235 pounds, put the 273.5-pound Rhode on the deck twice in 65 seconds. Also, undefeated heavyweight prospect Chazz Witherspoon (16-0, 10 KOs) knocked out Patrick Smith (5-9-2, 4 KOs) at 1:38 of round two. (More)
