Some Sports Notes….

Kudos to Ladainian Tomlinson for telling Bill Belichik that he’s a piece of shit. Belichik is NO DOUBT the most important active coach in all of sports. He is the one game-changing coach who I will NEVER bet against. That said, the guy seems like a total asshole and of all people, LT–the MVP–the BEST and maybe nicest seeming player in the NFL to call em out—it was a beautiful thing.

You really aren’t a basketball fan if you don’t set your dvr every time Kobe is on. This week for example, he was on national TV three times (Miami, San Antonio, and Dallas). He’s two for two as of me writing this and as insane a season as Gil Arenas is having in here in Washington, Kobe is the next best thing to Jordan. And there’s still time for him to improve–he’s only 28.

You have to feel bad for Tony Romo. He did a great job stepping in for Drew Bledsoe and was on pace to be the biggest story in the NFL this season. Remember on Thanksgiving when he set the Cowboys team record for most passing touchdowns in a game?? And then one mistake and the media has decided to make Romo a joke. Don’t get me wrong–I’m not losing sleep. Fuck the Cowboys. But I’m saying, in this kid’s life as a star quarterback, how many snaps do you think he’s held properly? A thousand or so? And one mistake changes it all. He’s back to being just the dude whose name rhymes with homo. Well that and he felt up Jessica Simpson. Not too bad I guess….
